For the best fit, measure your dog — don’t rely on weight alone. Dogs of the same weight can have very different body shapes. Our jackets are adjustable with Velcro through the girth and neck ranges below; back length is fixed.

How to Measure Your Dog

• Body girth / waist: Measure around your dog’s torso where the jacket will wrap and fasten. Keep the tape comfortably snug, not tight.
• Neck: Measure around the base of the neck where the jacket collar naturally sits.
• Back length: Measure along the back from the base of the neck to the point where you want the jacket to end.

How the Adjustable Fit Works

The Velcro closures allow each jacket to adjust throughout the neck and girth ranges shown above. That overlap is intentional — it lets you fine-tune the fit for different body shapes instead of forcing every dog into one exact measurement.

If Your Dog Falls Between Sizes

Start with body girth as the most important measurement, then check neck and back length. If two sizes could work, consider whether you prefer a closer fit or a little more room for movement or layering.

Why We Don’t Size by Weight Alone

Weight can be a rough reference, but it cannot tell us a dog’s chest depth, neck size, body length, or build. Two dogs that weigh the same can need very different jackets. Measuring takes an extra minute, but it gives you a much better chance of choosing the right size the first time.
